What you have downloaded, is the Bermuda Octagon, ( bo1.bsp ) file. This works with a powerful Quake 1 engine. The only one that I can vouch for, after testing a few, is Quakespasm. Since the map was built as "bot compatible," some engines failed, only because they didn't support the Omicron bots. Quakespasm is a free download. I use version 0.93. As mentioned in the youtube video, FTE will most likely work, and is probably the best choice for setting up a server. Quakespasm, as of early 2020, will not work as a server, but it will work as a client. So you can use Quakespasm to connect to a server, that is already running. You do not have to run an "install" program. In your already working correctly Quake 1 setup, you put this bo1.bsp file, in the following location: your basic Quake 1 game engine folder, (usually C:\Quake,) \ id1 folder \ maps folder \ (bo1.bsp). When you fire up Quake 1, you will usually choose "multiplayer." Single player also works, but that would be way too peaceful. When Quake 1 begins, you press the tilde key, (all the way to the left, and under the Esc key.) The drop down command line will appear on the screen. Then you type - map bo1 - and hit enter. Then you are in the Bermuda Octagon map. When installing the Omicron bots, you also don't run an "install" program. You put the main folder, - Omicron - in the basic Quake 1 game engine folder, (usually C:\Quake\.) If the Omicron bots are complete, you will have the following sub-folders: Omicron \ progs, and Omicron \ sound. There are no other folders in progs. Inside the sound folder you will find the: Cloud, Demon, Misc, and Weapons folders. You need to use the command line method, when firing Quake 1 up, if you want the Omicrons in the game. So as an example using Quakespasm, the command line reads: C:\Quake\Quakespasm -game omicron -listen 16. If you omit the "-listen 16" part, you won't be able to bring in 16 players, (1 human, and 15 bots.) The default method for bringing in the bots, is pressing the B key. Bring them in, with a 2 or 3 second delay between keystrokes. You are not forced to bring in 15. Any number up through 15 works. As I mentioned, 6 is a minimum, if you want the magma tram loading station doors to work as intended. Once the bots are in the game, if you change to a different map/level, the bots will automatically follow you there. When MANUALLY connecting, via the internet to a server, you need to know it's IP address, and sometimes the router port number. I mentioned "Simple Port Forwarding" as a program that will help you get connected. This is a free download, and I do recommend installing this, even if there is only a small chance you will get involved in internet gaming. The thing that helped me the most, is that it told me my own port number, which I didn't know. There is a place in the Quake 1 engines for the port number, as well as the IP address, when gaming online. I don't have a whole lot of advice for setting up a dedicated server. The basic "-listen 16" in the command line, will automatically make the PC a "listen server." A dedicated server is definitely the way to go, if you are serious about hosting the Bermuda Octagon. The way I see it, if you can't do the small amount of research it takes to set this up, without my help, you shouldn't be getting involved in it. GOOD LUCK!
